STATISTICS

Indore is located almost in the center of India in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The cities population exceeds 3 million people. There are less than one thousand believers in this city. Languages spoken in the city are Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi and Sindhi. Indore is to become the next Information Technology City of Madhya Pradesh. It is known for its Center for Advanced Technology and for the town of Pithampur which is the Detroit of India where many vehicles are manufactured.



HISTORY

YWAM Indore started in 1999. The vision is to reach the Hindi - speaking areas of India.

 

The name Indore originated from the historical temples of Indreshwar and Indrapur. With time this was changed to Indore. Recently, there have been some talks to rename the city to Indur. The word "Indur" however is the Marathi translation of Indore as was being used by the Maratha rulers.
